Team captain Jessica Shepley (Oakville, Ontario, Canada) carded a six-over 77 to tie for 37th place after the first-round, while freshman Violeta Retamoza (Aguascalientes, Mexico) and junior Tai Perry (Unionville, Pa.) posted a pair of 47th-place tying seven-over 78s to account for UT scoring. Junior Mary Jan Fernandez (Henderson, Nev.) fired an 84 to round out the Lady Vol effort. The Big Orange holds a .660 winning percentage against the field and also own a winning record against 10 of the 17 tournament participants.
