Tennessee carded a final-day 13-over 301 to record a 300-295-301=896 (+32) total at the English Turn Golf and Country Club course that featured 12 teams ranked in the Golfstat Top-25. The tournament also had eight of the nation's top 10-ranked individuals.
Mansson fired a 1-over 73 on the final day to wrap up the tournament with a 73-74-73=220 (+4) total, while Popson capped the event with a 3-over 75 en route to her 74-71-75=220 (+4) tally.
"Today wasn't the round we hoped for," Lady Vol head coach Judi Pavon said. "The course played a little bit easier today with a switch in the wind direction, but we didn't take advantage. Overall, it was a disappointing week, but we did do some good things that we can build on."
Second-ranked Southern California (4-over 868 total) rode a 6-under-par final round to a four-stroke victory in the team competition, while Alabama's Stephanie Meadow finished at 5-under 211 to edge LSU's Megan McChrystal by one stroke.
Sophomore Sara Monberg tied for 52nd with a 73-80-75=228 (+12) total, while freshman Kaitlyn Rohrback finished in a deadlock for 65th at 83-70-78=231 (+15). Rohrback's second round score of 2-under 70 was a season-best.
Senior Lauren Spurlock wrapped up the Lady Vol competitors with an 89th-place finish and a 80-82-79=241 (+25) score.
For their next tournament, the Lady Vols will return to Louisiana from March 11-13 at the LSU Classic at the University Club in Baton Rouge.
