NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The No. 11/16-ranked Tennessee women's golf team moved up one spot on the leaderboard to seventh on the second day of the Tiger-Wave Classic on Saturday.

The Lady Vols totaled 311 (+23) during a second round that saw winds approach 30 miles per hour at the par-72, 6,132-yard English Turn Golf and Country Club. UT has a 36-hole score of 616 (+40).

No. 2 Auburn and No. 20 LSU are tied atop the leaderboard in the 23-team field with 601 (+25) totals, two strokes ahead of third-place TCU.

The final round is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday with a shotgun start.

Golfstat.com has live scoring of the tournament and www.twitter.com/utladyvolswill provide updates.

"It was an extremely tough day today with the wind blowing like it was," Lady Vol head coach Judi Pavon said. "We did a lot of good things, but in these conditions you're bound to make a mistake. The players feel good for tomorrow and with a solid round we may be able to move up the leaderboard."

Scores were high across the board for round two thanks to Saturday's conditions.

UT was led by sophomore Nathalie Mansson on the second day, as she carded a 5-over 77. Her 76-77=153 (+9) score is tied for 21st.

Freshman Sara Monberg actually had the best round of the Lady Vols, however. The Juelsminde, Denmark, native totaled a 4-over 76 on the strength of four birdies. She is tied for 34th with a 79-76=155 (+11) total.

Senior Ginny Brown followed her opening round 77 with a 7-over 79 on Saturday. She is tied for 44th with a 77-79=156 (+12) two-day score heading into the final day of the tournament in the "Big Easy."

Junior Lauren Spurlock is tied with Brown after shooting an 83 on day two to go along with her round-one 73.

Senior Diana Cantú carded a second-round 79 and is tied for 69th with an 81-79=160 (+16) total.

Freshman Erica Popson, who is recovering from injury, withdrew from play during the second round. She fired a 78 on Friday.

Auburn's Cydney Clanton, Golfstat's No. 1-ranked player in the country, is tied with LSU's Megan McChrystal for the lead as both are even-par (144) with 18 holes left to play.
