GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Tennessee women's golf team struggled to gain ground on the nationally ranked competition Saturday at the Bryan National Collegiate.

Facing winds and wet conditions, the Lady Vols shot a second round 305 (+17) to bring their two-day total to 608 (+32). UT is currently in 15th place heading into the final round at the Bryan Park Champions Course.

Bouncing back from her first round 77 (+5), freshman Hannah Pietila led Tennessee with an impressive one-under par 71. Pietila sank four birdies on the day, including three on the front nine. Pietila is currently tied for 23rd place.

"I played pretty solidly all day," Pietila said. "I hit 17 greens so that was better. I fell a little bit at the end, but I feel like I will be ready to go tomorrow."

Junior Mason Chen followed up her team leading, first round 73 (+1) with a 78 (+6). Chen is tied for 37th place. Junior Daeun Song is tied for 48th after rounds of 76 (+4) and 77 (+5).

Senior and team leader Chessey Thomas continues her struggles by carding a second round 79 (+7). Thomas has yet to record a birdie in 36-holes at the Bryan National. She is currently tied for 78th place.

Freshman Lucia Polo rounded at the UT lineup with a two-day total of 158 (+14). Polo is tied for 83rd place.

Tennessee will look to create some momentum when the final round begins with a shotgun at 8:30 a.m. (ET) Sunday morning.
