BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Tennessee women's golf team sits in 13th place after first round play was suspended at the 2014 SEC Championship. The Lady Vols finished their first round by carding a 314 (+26).

The rainy Friday at Greystone Golf and Country Club resulted in a four-hour delay that forced play to be halted due to darkness. Groups from Alabama, Arkansas and South Carolina have between one and five holes to complete on Saturday morning.

The continuation of Friday's first round will resume at 9 a.m. (ET) Saturday. The second 18 holes will begin at approximately 11 a.m. (ET).

Led by senior Chessey Thomas, Tennessee was able to get in full round of 18-holes. Thomas carded a first round 74 (+2), accounting for four of the team's seven birdies. Thomas is currently tied for 14th place.

Freshman Hannah Pietila shot a first round 78 (+6) and is tied for 38th place. Pietila enters the SEC Championship coming off a career best performance at the Rebel Intercollegiate.

Junior Mason Chen and freshman Lucia Polo both carded rounds of 81 (+9) and sank a birdie each. The pair is tied for 53rd.

Junior Daeun Song rounded out the Tennessee lineup by posting an 83 (+11), putting her in a tie for 68th place.

Tennessee will begin its second round on Saturday morning after first round halted play is completed.
