BUENOS AIRES, Argentina -- Lady Vol senior golfer Diana Cantú fired a 5-over 77 on Thursday during second round action at the Copa de las Americas amateur team tournament.
Competing for Team Mexico with Paola Valerio, Cantú is in 11th place (76-77=153) as an individual, and the pair remains in ninth with a two-day total of 162-153=315.
The U.S.team of Jessica Korda and Jennifer Song sit atop the leaderboard with two rounds to play with a 294 total. Individually, Korda leads the field by one stroke (75-69=144).

Cantú is in the midst of an outstanding final campaign for the Tennessee women's golf team. Through four tournaments in the fall, she ranked second on the squad with a 72.80 stroke average and led UT to back-to-back first-place finishes with individual top-five placements at the Mercedes-Benz Women's Championships and the Alamo Invitational in October.
The Copa de las Americas is a four-day tournament featuring men's and women's two-person teams from North and South America. The scores of both men's and women's pairs will be combined to crown an overall champion as well as a men's and women's winner.
