KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee looks to defend its title at the Bryan National Collegiate as the Lady Vols take part in their final regular-season tournament this weekend in Greensboro, N.C.
This year's event, hosted by UNC Greensboro and Wake Forest, was tabbed the toughest women's college tournament this spring by Golf Digest.
Senior Erica Popson leads Tennessee's line-up and won the event in 2011 with a 220 (+4) card. Joining Popson this weekend is sophomore AJ Newell, junior Chessey Thomas, sophomore Daeun Song and senior Sara Monberg.
The 2013 field has five teams in the top 10 including No. 2 Duke, No. 5 Florida, No. 6 Arkansas, No. 7 Vanderbilt and No. 9 North Carolina. The rest of the competition includes No. 19 Georgia, No. 23 NC State, No. 26 Michigan State, No. 29 Northwestern, Florida State, Auburn, Wake Forest, South Carolina, Louisville, UNC-Wilmington, UNC-Greensboro and Virginia.
Tennessee will tee off at 8:20 a.m. ET with Arkansas and NC State from the first tee.
