The Tennessee women's golf team begins its postseason journey on Friday at the Southeastern Conference Women's Championship.

The 2014 SEC Championship for women's golf will be held in Birmingham, Ala., at the Greystone Country Club for the second consecutive year.

The Lady Vols have been accustomed to success at past SEC Championships. In 2010 and 2011, Erica Popson won back-to-back SEC individual title with scores of 208 (-5) and 210 (-6), respectively.

Looking to harness that SEC success, senior Chessey Thomas is ready for a strong performance to cap off her last conference tournament.

"Well, I am excited that the tournament is at a neutral site for the second year. I know the course can expose your weaknesses, but I am less intimated by it than last year," Thomas said. "Playing in this conference has been amazing and I'm super excited for this weekend."

Joining Thomas, head coach Judi Pavon will start two freshman and two juniors. The Lady Vols starters will be:

Chessey Thomas, Sr.
Hannah Pietila, Fr.
Daeun Song, Jr.
Lucia Polo, Fr.
Mason Chen, Jr.

The Lady Vols will begin their quest for an NCAA Regional berth at 8:20 a.m. (ET) when Chen tees off the 10th tee box.
