KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Junior golfer Ginny Brown added another honor to her list of awards this week as she was named to the Southeastern Conference Women's Golf Community Service Team, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Brown also earned a spot on to the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll and was recognized as the Lady Vol Athlete of the Week this week.

The Austin, Texas, native is majoring in public relations and has been an NGCA Academic All-America selection the past two seasons.

Last weekend at the 2009 SEC Women's Golf Championship in Blythewood, S.C., Brown fired a career-best 54-hole total of 74-72-71=217 (+4) on the par-71 6,156-yard Cobblestone Park course to tie for sixth, her best finish in Orange and White.

During the second round of play, Brown made a hole-in-one on the par-3, 140-yard 11th hole.

She is third on the Lady Vols in stroke average (76.08), leads the Lady Vols with 63 birdies and has played every round of every tournament this season.
