Junior Sara Monberg was named to the SEC Community Service Team for her service to the UT community.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - University of Tennessee women's golf junior Sara Monberg has been named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service team, the league announced Friday.
The Community Service Team consists of one student-athlete from each SEC institution, nominated by her school's personnel, who has devoted herself to community service.
The SEC also sponsors Community Service Teams for football, men's and women's basketball and the league's men's and women's Olympic sports.
A native of Juelsminde, Denmark, Monberg participated in a variety of public service projects over the last year for UT as a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Most notably, Monberg was a volunteer instructor the Komen Foundation Golf Clinic which raised money for breast cancer research.
Monberg also assisted with Teams and Toys, giving gifts to less fortunate children, Soles 4 Souls, collecting shoes for the needy, and Walk for the Cure benefitting Alzheimer's research.
An economics major, Monberg has been a steady force in the classroom as well as the Big Orange lineup. She has three rounds of par or better and a pair of top-10 finishes this season.
In addition to being named to the 2011 SEC Community Service Team, Monberg was also named an NGCA Academic All-American and to the SEC Freshman Honor Roll in 2010.
The Lady Vols wrapped up the 2011-12 campaign Friday with a 19th place finish at the NCAA Championships in Nashville.
