KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Lady Vol junior golfer Nathalie Mansson collected her second preseason honor on Thursday, as Golfweek selected the Stockholm, Sweden native to its Preseason Top 30 Players to Watch list.
Last week, Mansson was also named to Golf World's Top 50 Female Players to Watch.
A Second Team All-America selection by Golfweek and the NGCA in 2009-10, Mansson is expected to be the leader of the 12th-ranked Lady Vols in 2010-11.
A year after setting Tennessee's freshman stroke average record (73.79) in 2008-09, she set Big Orange single season marks in average (73.06) and rounds of par or better (16) as a sophomore. Mansson also won back-to-back tournaments and captured All-SEC First Team and All-East Region honors. She tallied eight top-10 finishes and ranked second in the nation with a 71.17 final round average.
Mansson and the rest of the Orange and White squad begin their season next Monday at the Fall Preview in College Station, Texas.
Golfweek also placed Tennessee at No. 17 in its preseason power rankings.
