Women's Golf Ranked 19th

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee women's golf team is ranked 19th in the latest Golf World/WGCA Division I Coaches' Poll, which will appear in the Nov. 12 issue of Golf World.

The Lady Vols earned 166 points and are ranked 18th in the NCAA. UT is one of eight SEC teams to appear in the top 25, along with No. 4 Florida, No. 8 Alabama, No. 10 Vanderbilt, No. 14 Georgia, No. 21 Auburn, No. 22 Texas A&M and No. 23 Arkansas.

Tennessee wrapped up its fall campaign Oct. 28-30 at the Alamo Invitational in San Antonio, Texas. Through four tournaments in the 2012-13 season, UT posted two top-10 finishes, including a runner-up showing at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships. The squad also earned two top-15 finishes at the Liz Murphey Fall Preview and Alamo Invitational.

Senior Erica Popson led the Lady Vols through the fall, posting a 72.00 stroke average and two top-five showings.

The Big Orange returns to action in the spring Feb. 15-17 at the Mash Up Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla.
