DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Three former Lady Vols moved on to the final round of the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament on Sunday at the LPGA International.
The 106-person field wrapped up the third round on Sunday morning before completing the fourth round in the afternoon. Inclement weather had postponed play since Friday morning.
The final round will be Monday, as players look to either gain LPGA membership or improve their status for the 2010 Tour.
Shepley had the best fourth round of the former UT stars, carding an even-par 72. She has a 72-hole total of 77-70-75-72=294 (+6). Oh has a score of 79-71-69-75=295 (+6), while Yang is at 75-68-76-75=295 (+6).
A fourth former Lady Vol, Nicole Smith, did not make the cut after finishing with a four-round total of 77-72-79-75=303 (+15) in her first shot at qualifying for the LPGA Tour.
Shepley tees off at 8:35 a.m. on Monday morning, while Oh and Yang will start at 8:45 a.m. in the same group.
The top 40 finishers in the tournament will earn membership on the 2010 LPGA Tour.
The top 20 players will earn Priority in Category 11 membership, while players finishing 21st through 30th will receive Priority in Category 16 and places 31st through 40th will receive Priority in Category 20.
