"Rachel has a high level of proficiency on the water and a real competitive presence on the ergometer. These two characteristics result in efficiency which could place her above most competitors as she commits to taking advantage of it. Her focus on discipline on the water and power in the weight room will make her presence in the boat dominant. Rachel is also one of our captains this year and will play a major role on the team during pre-season and early season competition."

FALL 2006: Won a gold in the Championship 8+ and silver in the Championship 4+ at the fall-opening Chattanooga Head Race...Pushed Tennessee to its best finish of seventh in the Championship 8+ at the 2006 Head of the Charles Regatta...Member of the first place crew in the Head of the Tennessee Champ 4+...Captured two more golds in the C8+ and C4+ at the Head of the Hooch...Led top UT entrant in the Champ 8+ to a third-place finish at the Rivanna Romp...

2005-06: Rowed in three winning boats during the fall... Helped Championship Eight crews to gold at the Chattanooga Head Race and the Head of the Hooch...Also part of Champ 8+ group that finished 12th in the Head of the Charles Regatta...Assisted C8+ shell to a ninth-place showing at the Rivanna Romp...Picked up the win in the Championship Four at the Chattanooga Head Race...Also helped C4+ shell to ninth-place showing at Rivanna Romp...Spent all year in the top Varsity 8+...Helped the crew to a pair of second-place showings in the season-opening scrimmage against Minnesota and Notre Dame...Led group to a win against Louisville...Part of crews that finished second in dual races against Michigan, Ohio State, UCLA, Washington State and Stanford...Assisted squad to a second-place result in quad race against Princeton, George Washington and UMass...Powered V8+ to a bronze medal in the grand final of the Aramark Sprints/NCAA Central and South Regionals...Member of the "C" final winning crew at the NCAA Championships...Earned first-team Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-South Region accolades...Also named on the Lady Vol Fall, Southeastern Conference Spring Academic and Lady Vol Spring Honor Rolls...

2004-05: Took home golds in the Championship 8+ at the season-opening Chattanooga Head Race and at the Head of the Tennessee... Named Co-Lady Vol Athlete of the Week for her help in leading the Tennessee shell to a then-program-best 10th-place finish in the Championship Eight at the Head of the Charles... Claimed the bronze in the Eights at the Rivanna Romp...Also took home the bronze in the Champ Four at the Head of the Tennessee and at the Rivanna Romp...Worked all year with the top Varsity 8+ crew that finished eighth in the NCAA Championships...The nation's sixth-ranked shell picked up five wins on the season over Notre Dame and Michigan State in a tri-meet and in dual meets against Minnesota, Louisville, Virginia and Washington State...Group finished second in the grand finals of the Aramark Sprints...Squad crossed the line sixth in the grand final of the San Diego Crew Classic...Picked up a spot on the Lady Vol Honor Roll...

2003-04: Earned a silver medal at her first regatta, the Chattanooga Head Race, as a Lady Vol with the Championship 8+ crew...Also claimed a bronze with the Champ 4+ boat at the event...Helped the Club 8+ to a second-place finish at the prestigious Head of the Charles in Boston...Member of the runner-up Champ 8+ boat at the Head of the Tennessee... Rowed on the second Varsity Eight shell for the spring season...Helped the team finish second at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships...Finished first versus Louisville in the 2V8+ competition and second versus Minnesota...Member of the boat that claimed second in the grand final at the George Washington Crew Classic...Took third versus Washington State and Oregon State...Claimed a fourth-place finish in the petite finals at the Lexus Sprints...
