CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee Lady Vol rowing team posted a solid showing at the 2010 Head of the Hooch regatta, held on the Tennessee River.
Tennessee began the day by placing sixth in the Novice 8+ race with a time of 18:18.5. UT also recorded 18th and 40th place finishes.
In the Championship 8+, UT took the silver medal with a time of 16:05.1. Texas took home the crown in 16:01.1. The medal is Tennessee's eighth of the fall season and third in the Champ 8+.
In the Championship 2x, Tennessee finished the course in 20:02.0, good for an eighth place finish. The Big Orange also took home 15th place in that event.
In the Lady Vols' final event of the day, the Orange and White secured a fifth-place finish in 17:43.7.
