KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--The Tennessee Lady Vol rowing team will face off against Wisconsin at 9 a.m. Saturday on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

UT is coming off a strong performance in the first-ever double dual meet held on Lake Loudoun, earning victories in the varsity 8+, the second varsity 8+, the varsity 4+ and the second varsity 4+ over SEC rival Alabama.

The Big Orange also scored wins over No. 17 Dartmouth in the V4+ and 2V8+.

Last Saturday also marked senior day for seven Lady Vol seniors. Mary Beth Dreusike, Jewell Ludwigsen, Laura Miller, Sydney Newman, Katie Ross, and Kate Snider, participated in their final competition on Lake Loudoun after playing consistent roles in the program for three years running. Lindsay Nelson also celebrated her last race after a year and a half with the program.

This weekend's race against the Badgers provides head coach Lisa Glenn's team with a great chance to gain experience against one of the nation's best programs.

"We look forward to racing in Oak Ridge on Saturday," Glenn said. "It's our third week of the season, and not only are we meeting a strong opponent in Wisconsin, but we always welcome the chance to get out on the course where we host the regional in May."

The Aramark South/Central Region Championships will be held in Oak Ridge from May 15-16.
