KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Lady Vol rowing team was honored during the Vol football game on Saturday night at Neyland Stadium for winning the 2012 C-USA Championship.
Tennessee's V8, coxed by Ashley Fichthorn and including Arin Anderson, Nikki Arcamuzi, Hilary Epes, Erika Johnson, Erika Lauderdale, Anita McLure, Evelyn Radford and Rachel White sealed the team victory at the championship with a 6-minute 45.8-second gold-medal time.
UT's 2V8+ also won gold, crossing the finish line in 6 minutes 52.40 seconds. The second varsity eight was coxed by Jessie Richardson and included Taylor Athan, Paige Austin, Jennifer Bailey, Katherine Changes, Kristin Coggin, Liz Dickson, Kayla Lucier and Liza Rader.
For her efforts leading the Lady Vols to the conference title, Glenn was awarded the C-USA Coach of the Year award.
The Lady Vols will return to competition in Chattanooga, Tenn., at the Chattanooga Head Race on October 13.
