The Rivanna Romp begins Sunday at 10 a.m.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The University of Tennessee rowing team will head east to Charlottesville, Va., on Sunday, Nov. 16, to compete in the Rivanna Romp. This marks the Orange and White's final race of the fall season.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the Lady Vols will launch three, Varsity 8+ boats against teams from Pennsylvania, Miami, and Old Dominion, along with the host school, Virginia. UT will also feature two novice crews in the Novice Eight race, set to take place at the same time as the varsity. Competition for that race consists of three crews from UVa, one from Pennsylvania and one from Old Dominion.
Rowers will take a short break before kicking off the Varsity Fours division at 11:30 a.m. Tennessee has three crews in the race that also features three from Penn., four from Virginia and two from Miami.
This is the fifth regatta for the Lady Vols during the fall season. At the squad's last race, the Head of the Hooch in Chattanooga, Tenn., UT produced a second place finish in the Women's Championship Varsity 8+ division.
At last year's Rivanna Romp, Tennessee's eight and four boats finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Lady Vols begin spring competition on March 20 versus Minnesota in Knoxville, Tenn.
