What time are tryouts and practices?

What does it cost to be involved with Tennessee Rowing?
There are no dues or yearly costs to be a part of Tennessee Rowing! We are a fully-funded varsity team. Once you make the Novice Squad Roster, all expenses related to travel, equipment, racing, Nike apparel and medical issues are covered by the Athletic Department. The only cost to make the team is the $80 registration fee (one time fee) for the NCAA Eligibility Center. Any athlete interested in Division I Athletics must register with the NCAA in order to be eligible for competition.

I am interested in trying out! What should I do to prepare?
Stay active! Try to run, bike, swim, play soccer or participate in cardiovascular activities you enjoy that elevate your heart rate for an extended amount of time! Although we will start slow with tryouts, it is important to be able to complete the workouts as we progress. Consider signing up for our Learn to Row Camp offered 22-24 June! This is a great opportunity to learn the basics, be exposed to the sport, and meet the coaches.

If you have any specific questions or concerns about tryout preparation, feel free to reach out to Coach Laura Miller at TNrowing@utk.edu.
