HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: A former U.S. Under-16 and Under-17 National Team member, Jackie ventures to Tennessee with a slew of accomplishments on her prep playing resume...A three-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Youth All-American, the Austin, Texas, native also picked up numerous first-team all-region and all-district honors during her varsity career at McNeil H.S. and helped her squad to a Texas State title in 2004 and a district co-championship in 2002...A member of the club team '87 Warriors since 1997, Acevedo won a state championship with the Town & Country Warriors Select squad...She played on the U16 and U18 national women's teams as part of the Olympic Development Pool (ODP) and participated in the U.S. National Camp U16 Women's Federation (2003), ODP Regional and National Camp (2001-2003) and was an All-American alternate in 2002...Acevedo was also selected to the ODP '87 South Texas State Team from 2000-03 and trained at the 2004 SportsChallenge Leadership Alliance...

PERSONAL: Majoring in arts & sciences...Lists making the U-17 U.S. National Team and winning state with the Team Select as her biggest thrills in soccer to date...Chose Tennessee because of its great tradition in academics as well as the success of the program...Hopes to step into coaching once her playing career is complete...Was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at McNeil H.S....Has five siblings; Jamie Acevedo Doyle, 25; Jenny Acevedo, 20; Alexandra King, 8; Victoria King, 8; and Chancellor King, 7...Jackie Acevedo was born January 18, 1987, in Austin, Texas...Her mother is Rebeca King and her stepfather is Lance King.
