  • Was a three-time Tennessee High School Soccer Coaches Association (THSSCA) All State selection (2009, 2010, 2011)
  • A four-time Division II-AA West All Region choice (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011)
  • Wrapped up her senior campaign for the St. Benedict soccer squad as a Commercial Appeal "Best of Preps" finalist and a state finalist for the Wendy's High School Heisman award

PERSONAL
  • Currently enrolled in the College of Business Administration at UT
  • Won the USA Triathlon National Female Championship at age 10 on Sept. 8, 2002, in Sacramento, Calif.
  • Won the Iron Kids Triathlon as part of its National Championship Series at ages seven, eight and 10 (runner-up at age nine)
  • Intends to get back into triathlon training following the completion of her collegiate playing career
  • Eckel's uncle, Rick Ford, was a collegiate wrestler at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa
  • Enjoys snowboarding, running, biking and going to the lake when not on the soccer pitch
