KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee soccer program has inked 14 impressive players to its 2014 signing class, its third under head coach Brian Pensky.
UT's 2014 signing class features Carlyn Baldwin, Anna Bialczak, Christine Creighton, Gracie DeGooyer, Meghan Flynn, Colleen Gawkins, Josie Jennings, Ashley Jolly, Olivia Knox, Ariel Kupritz, Amanda McClanahan, Anna McClung, Meaghan Mulligan and Alexis Smith.
"We have a terrific group of student-athletes in this 2014 class - extremely high-level and accomplished players who are outstanding students as well," Pensky said. "We're happy to have four of them with us right now, and cannot wait for the remainder of the class to join us this summer. Versatile and athletic might be the words that best describe this class - having a number of players who can play in different spots. This group certainly has a ton of potential. Championship level players are always invested in their total development...and we have those types of individuals on campus right now, and we're excited to add these kids to that mix. Our current players are working tirelessly every day to get better this spring. So for these incoming recruits, the real work begins now - their immediate impact within our program will be determined by their preparation over the next six months. And we're very confident that they'll embrace that challenge, and come in prepared to help us win a lot of games this fall."
In 2014, Tennessee will join these 14 newcomers with its many returning stars, including rising senior center back Allie Sirna (Second Team All-SEC), rising senior forward Hannah Wilkinson (2012 NSCAA All-American) and rising senior goalkeeper Julie Eckel.
