Wilkinson is part of HC Brian Pensky's initial signing class on Rocky Top |
March 31, 2012
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Lady Volunteer soccer signee Hannah Wilkinson has once again stepped up big for the Football Ferns of New Zealand. The Kiwi national team defeated Papua New Guinea 8-0 Saturday putting them one step closer to Olympic qualification and the London games this summer.
Playing in front of a home crowd of 2,243, Wilkinson, a Whangarei native, started the Kiwi onslaught by finding the back of the net at the six minute mark. Wilkinson would also keep the pedal down by finishing the game with three assists. Productivity is the name of the game for Wilkinson who was also the lone goal scorer for the Ferns as they fell 2-1 on February 11, 2012 to the United States in Frisco, Texas.
Wilkinson will join the Lady Vols this coming fall as part of Head Coach Brian Pensky's initial signing class on Rocky Top.
