KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - This week marked the beginning of the 2012 summer soccer camps with the Tennessee soccer program. Over the next several weeks, the University of Tennessee will be hosting the annual camps at Regal Stadium bringing in hundreds of athletes to the facility. From individual skill development to team training, the camps promise to provide top-notch coaching and insight to all campers.
First year head coach Brian Pensky's philosophy on the camps is simple, develop campers into better players and have FUN. With a strong combination of work and play, there is no question that the 2012 camps will provide a positive learning environment for all attendees.
Coach Pensky noted the opportunity campers receive by attending the University's soccer camps.
"The camp season becomes an opportunity for young kids to get better, in an extremely fun environment; and for those same kids to be exposed to The University of Tennessee's women's soccer program," Pensky said.
Backed with his staff, coach Pensky has also brought on several of the current Volunteer soccer players as camp counselors. Needless to say, the "family" is all in for the summer camps.
"We're all here - our coaches, our players, our managers - so the people who come to our camp, get a genuine sense of who our players are, and what our program is all about," said Pensky.
Under the direction of Coach Pensky, who has gone 44-14-9 in the past three seasons, the camps promise to develop the skills of tomorrow's premier soccer athletes. Below are the remaining dates for the camps.
