KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --As the 2013 Tennessee soccer season quickly approaches, UTSports.com will highlight some of the team's main storylines for the upcoming season.
First up is none other than senior forward/midfielder Caroline Brown. UTSports.com's Dani Klupenger caught up with the Hershey, Pa., native to discuss her goals for the upcoming year. Check out the video above!
With her creativity in the box, high soccer IQ and well-rounded game, Brown has been one of the most dynamic players to ever wear the Orange and White. She heads into 2013 with 19 goals, 17 assists and 11 match-winners in her UT career. Brown is tied with Kayla Lockaby (2001-04) for the second-most match-winners in Tennessee history, just four clutch scores back of all-time leader Kylee Rossi (2005-08). She is also tied for eighth in career assists.
Brown had a strong junior year in 2012, despite battling through injuries. She scored five goals, including three match-winners, and led the team with seven assists. The 2011 Capital One Academic All-American continued to thrive in the classroom this past year, earning NSCAA Scholar All-South Region honors and sharing the 2012-13 Tennessee's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year award with teammate Caroline Capocaccia.
Back to full strength and motivated by the same drive that has made her a Tennessee fan favorite, Brown aims to finish her UT career with a memorable senior season.
