KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --Tennessee soccer junior forward Hannah Wilkinson and freshman forward Amy Neal received midseason honors on Wednesday as Top Drawer Soccer named Wilkinson to its Midseason Women's National Top 100 and Neal to its Midseason Women's Freshmen Top 100.
Wilkinson, who was the Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week and SEC Player of the Week on Sept. 3, is ranked as the No. 27 women's soccer player in the nation. The Whangarei, New Zealand, native has a team-high 14 points off five goals and a team-leading four assists this season. Wilkinson scored match-winners against then-No. 17 UCF (Aug. 30) and James Madison (Sept. 1) and paces the team with 53 shots and 22 shots on goal.
Neal is ranked as the No. 97 freshman women's soccer player in the country. The Los Alamos, N.M., native has played in 13 of the team's 14 matches this season. She has seen her playing time increase since playing a career-high 72 minutes in UT's 1-0 win over then-No. 20 Texas A&M on Sept. 20. Neal enjoyed a breakout performance on Sept. 29 at Alabama, scoring two goals in the second half to spark Tennessee's comeback attempt from a 3-0 halftime deficit.
Tennessee celebrates Alumni Night on Friday when it hosts Auburn at 7 p.m. at Regal Soccer Stadium.
