KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -The Tennessee soccer program will celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Thursday when the Lady Vols host Georgia at 7 p.m. for their Senior Night/Goal Pink match.
There will be a pre-game reception in the Regal Soccer Stadium hospitality room to honor those fighting breast cancer and those who have fought breast cancer. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with free appetizers and soft drinks. Please send your RSVP to Walann Reed at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 865-974-9619 if you plan to attend.
Fans who wear pink to the game will be admitted for free. The first 250 fans will receive Goal Pink t-shirts. Fans who donate $1 for Goal Pink will receive either a pink shaker or a pink Krispy Kreme donut.
Thursday will also feature a pre-game Chalk Talk session with head coach Brian Pensky in the video room at 6:15 p.m. The Kids Carnival on the right concourse will have face painting, pink sidewalk chalk drawing, pink ribbon temporary tattoos, inflatable activity stations and more for young fans in attendance.
Senior Night ceremonies will commence before the game on the field at approximately 6:40 p.m.
There will be a halftime fireworks show with fireworks shot from the Sherri Parker Lee Stadium (behind Regal Soccer Stadium) and breast cancer survivors will be recognized on the field.
After the game, fans can get autographs from select UT soccer players in the exhibition hall.
