ORANGE BEACH, Ala. - Tennessee soccer player Chelsea Hatcher has become the 13th Lady Vol in program history to be chosen as first team All-Southeastern Conference, according to a Tuesday release from the site of the 2010 SEC Soccer Tournament in Orange Beach, Ala.

The selection marks the 19th time a Lady Vol soccer player has reaped first team league honors and the 11th straight season that UT has boasted an inclusion on the illustrious squad since the Big Orange program began play back in 1996.

The junior forward has recorded an outstanding campaign for the Lady Vols during 2010, leading Tennessee in goals scored (eight), points (20) and shots (98), while rating second on the squads in assists (four). The Cincinnati, Ohio, product has registered match-winning goals this season to defeat both Western Kentucky (Aug. 20) and Arkansas (Sept. 24). Hatcher has done the majority of her work since UT entered league action, posting a team-best five goals over 11 contests, to rate in a tie for fourth in the SEC, and 11 total points to dead-lock for eighth in the conference. Her finest overall weekend came during Tennessee's road-trips to battle No. 12 Florida and No. 13 South Carolina live on television, scoring twice versus the Gators (SUN Sports) and once against the Gamecocks (ESPNU). Most recently, Hatcher blasted home a highlight-worthy goal from the top of the 18 into the upper left corner of the twine just 1:58 after UGA had opened the scoring, drawing UT even in an eventual 2-1, Big Orange victory.

For her three-year career Hatcher now possesses 11 goals, six assists and 28 total points over 57 matches played. She has also moved into fifth all-time in UT history by launching 217 total shots (64 on frame).
