Completed a two-year stint as the starting shortstop at Central Arizona College and was a second-team Division I All-American in '01…The Vaqueras ranked eighth in the final 2001 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) poll with a 60-11 mark and were second in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference after taking 34 of 36 contests…After finishing as the runner-up in the 2000 national championships, Blaine's club fell in the 2001 district final to Arizona Western College…A potent threat at the plate, she batted .379 with 72 RBI, 64 runs, 24 stolen bases, 16 doubles and five homers in 2001…Compiled a .378 clip with 78 RBI, 57 runs, 25 thefts, 21 two-baggers and six dingers in her first campaign at CAC…Her career totals in runs batted in (150) and doubles (37) shattered the existing school records…Other Lady Vols who attended Central Arizona before arriving in Knoxville include All-SEC performers Bridget Jackson and Tracy Reidhead.
