Holder of the Dominion H.S. records for batting average (.581), season RBIs (42), season HR's (seven) and RBIs in a single contest (eight), Fryer was a two-sport athlete (softball, basketball) who excelled both on and off the diamond...On the diamond during her senior season, she hit .581 with 28 runs scored and four homers...Fryer was chosen as the 2008 Virginia AAA State Player of the Year...She reaped two consecutive all-state nods (2007, 2008), and was a three-time First-Team All-Region II and All-Dulles District choice while playing vitrually every position for her team but pitcher...The Washington Post chose her First-Team All-Metropolitan in softball in 2007 and 2008 and granted her a second selection to its All-Extra squad ('07) after having tabbed her to the group in 2006...Fryer was selected in 2006 as the "Spotlight Athlete" by the Loudoun Times Mirror...She spent her fall seasons during high school working as a varsity student athletic trainer for Dominion High football...Fryer was a member of the "A & B" Honor Roll as well as an "Outstanding Student" for both History and Math at Dominion...She served as Dominion High's Senior Class President in 2008 and received the "Miss Titan Award" for her outstanding school spirit...Fryer helped guide her ASA Gold team, the Virginia Shamrocks, to the ISF Junior World Cup title in Florida in 2005, and traveled to Japan with the 16-U squad in 2007.
