AS A JUNIOR (2001):

Arrived in Knoxville with impressive credentials from her two-year stint at Merced Community College?Chosen as an All-American both seasons and was all-state twice in softball?Led the juco schools in the state with 51 runs batted in and was selected as the Northern California Player of the Year in 2000?Her team was a combined 105-16 during her tenure and garnered a pair of league championships?In her first season at Merced, she led the state with 15 home runs?Also competed for Merced's basketball team during the 1998-99 and 1999-2000 seasons, winning the conference once?Received the league's Most Valuable Player on both occasions?In a 15-hour span one weekend, she had a softball doubleheader on a Friday, where she went 6-for-8 with a homer and eight RBI?The next afternoon, she played the entire 60 minutes of a four-overtime basketball game and scored 34 points and 23 rebounds in a 78-77 triumph over her school's arch-rival.
