A highly-touted recruit from the softball hotbed of California, Griffin led her California High School squad to four-consecutive league titles (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005), while her team registered a 39-1 mark in league action over four seasons...During her senior campaign, Griffin was named the Southeast/South Coast Region Player of the Year by the Los Angeles Times and to the publication's All-Star Softball Team after batting .489 with 34 runs, 27 RBI's, 23 walks, 21 stolen bases and a slugging percentage of .803...Among her career awards are a sophomore selection to the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Division II First Team, two Offensive Player of the Year awards, three League Most Valuable Player nods and the 2003 league batting title...Griffin also picked up two First Team All-Area nods and a trio of Foothill All-Tournament Team selections...Led her squad to a pair of La Mirada Tournament titles ('03 and '05) in including a perfect 5-0 mark in 2003...She helped guide the California Corona Angels to a fifth-place finish at the 18-U Amateur Softball Association (ASA) Gold Nationals in Georgia in 2004 and fifth in Salinas, Calif., in 2005.
