A first team Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-American and Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Southeast Region choice, Gibson started all 61 contests for the Lady Vols at second base...Won the Southeastern Conference batting average title (counting league games only) by posting a .451 mark against SEC opposition with five HRs and 28 RBIs over 28 games with a league-best .550 on-base percentage...Was tabbed first team All-SEC and to the SEC All-Defensive Team (2B)...Overall, Gibson hit .420 (73-of-174) with 43 runs, a team-high 13 doubles, three triples, eight HR's, 63 RBIs (seventh in the SEC) and a .521 on-base percentage (second in the league behind teammate Raven Chavanne)...Reached base safely via either hit or walk in 52 of 61 match-ups...Posted 20 multi-hit and 16 multi-RBI efforts and reached base safely over a team-best skein of 24 consecutive games from March 17-April 29...Hit .429 overall (6-for-14) to go along with a squad-best eight RBIs during the NCAA Knoxville Regional...Delivered a clutch, two-out single with a pair on base in the bottom of the seventh of a NCAA elimination contest against #22 Oklahoma State, drawing UT within a run before Kelly Grieve was thrown out at the plate to secure OSU's 6-5 win...Was a one-woman wrecking crew during a 7-0 NCAA triumph over #19 Georgia Tech (5/21), going 3-for-3 while recording her second two-HR game of 2011 and six RBIs...Was credited with a pair of RBIs via a base knock during a seven-tally, fifth-frame UT outburst in a 8-0 (5 inn.) NCAA victory over Liberty (5/20)...Granted Tennessee a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning of the finale at #4 Florida (5/8) via an RBI two-bagger...Blasted a three-run HR as part of a 2-for-2 effort in a 9-1 win over Arkansas (5/1)...Hit .571 (4-for-7) with a double during the series against the Razorbacks (4/29-5/1)...Registered her third triple of the season while going 2-for-3 with an RBI against Radford (4/19)...Posted her first career two-HR game, to go along with a two-run double, and posted a career-high seven RBIs in a crushing 11-0 rout of the Tigers at #21 LSU (4/16)...Hit .444 with four RBIs during a three-game sweep at Ole Miss (4/8-4/10)...Had a double and solo HR while posting a 2-for-3 effort at the dish with a pair of RBIs in a 5-1 opening win at #2 Georgia (4/6), before going 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI in UT's 9-4 DH finale victory versus the `Dawgs...Was 6-for-9 overall in the series against South Carolina (3/25-3/27), including a career-best 4-for-4 effort with two RBIs in Tennessee's 10-3 victory (3/26)...Posted a two-run single in a DH-opening defeat and was 2-for-3 while knocking in a tally in a 4-1 win against #1 Alabama (3/22)...Doubled and registered three RBIs in a 7-3 triumph versus Iowa (3/17)...Hit .500 (6-for-12) during the Tennessee Classic, highlighted by a 3-for-4 performance in a 6-4 victory over Furman (3/5)...Doubled twice and knocked in all three of her tallies via a tone-setting, first-inning two-bagger in a 7-1 rout of #2 UCLA (2/26) in Cathedral City, Calif....Posted a .467 overall average (7-for-15) during UT's five-game stay at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic (2/18-2/20) in Las Vegas, Nev....Hit safely in all four games at the season-opening Stetson Leadoff Classic, highlighted by a three-run blast in the opener against Michigan State (2/11) and a 3-for-3, four-RBI performance in the rematch against the Spartans (2/13).

AS A FRESHMAN (2010):

Gibson played in 58 games for Tennessee with 51 starts (second base, designated player and outfield) during her rookie campaign...Chosen 2010 SEC All-Freshman after hitting .297 overall with 23 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples, six HR's and 39 RBIs...Didn't make a single error in 108 total chances (second base & outfield)...Recorded seven multi-hit and 10 multi-RBI games in 2010...Led the Big Orange in batting average at the Women's College World Series (.444)...Walked twice, including once with the bases loaded during the first inning and laced a single through the right side and tallied a run in UT's 5-2, elimination loss to #3 Arizona (6/6) at the WCWS...Helped beat #9 Georgia (6/4) at the WCWS by delivering two singles and scoring once...Showed few nerves in her first appearance on the big stage at the WCWS by walking and singling in a run during UT's 9-0 (5 inn.), event-opening rout of #3 Arizona (6/3)...With the bases loaded in the first inning of the deciding game of the NCAA Super Regionals at #2 Michigan (5/28), Gibson was hit by a pitch from Nikki Nemitz to force in the initial run of the game...Was impressive during the Knoxville Regional, blasting a tone-setting two-run HR (her sixth of the year) in the first frame of UT's 5-0 win over Ball State (5/21), knocking in a tally on a single versus Virginia (5/22) and delivering a key lead-off double in the top of the ninth to start the decisive rally that eventually broke a tie in UT's 3-1 victory over Louisville (5/23)...Doubled in Tennessee's first run during the second frame of the 4-3 loss to #3 Alabama at the SEC Tournament (5/14)...Was chosen as the SEC Freshman of the Week (5/10) for hitting .667 (4-for-6) with two doubles and an RBI versus #11 LSU...Tied her career-high for hits with a 3-for-3 effort in the 3-0 loss to #11 LSU (5/8) and set a new personal mark for single-game two-baggers with two off Tiger hurler Rachele Fico...Doubled in UT's initial run during the sixth inning of the 7-6 loss at #4 Alabama (5/1)...Singled in the go-ahead run against #4 Florida (4/23) to give the Lady Vols a 2-1 lead over the Gators in the fifth inning of an eventual 4-3 UT victory...Hammered her fifth HR of the season, a three-run shot, the other way to left as part of a 2-for-4, three-RBI effort as UT blasted Tennessee Tech (4/20) in Cookeville, Tenn., 10-0 (6 inn.)...In a 2-1 win at Auburn (4/10), Gibson tripled while going 2-for-3 at the plate...Had a career-high 3-for-3, three-RBI effort and came up just a homer short of hitting for the cycle during UT's 11-0 (5 inn.) hammering of Western Carolina (4/8)...Singled, delivered a sacrifice fly and tallied two RBIs in the 14-0 (5 inn.) win over the Catamounts (4/8)...Was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs in the 9-1 (5 inn.) series-opening rout of South Carolina (4/2)...Bombed her fourth homer of the year, this one a two-run shot, in the 9-1 (5 inn.) rout of Middle Tennessee (3/31)...Singled and later tallied a vital fifth-inning sac fly to knot the score at 2-2 in UT's eventual 4-3 (10 inn.) win over Kentucky (3/23)...Was tough at the plate against #6 Georgia, blasting a two-run HR and knocking in three runs as part of a 2-for-2 effort during the series opener (3/20) and doubled in the finale (3/21)...Drove a walk-off, three-run home run to right field to end a 9-0 (5 inn.) romp over Campbell (3/13) at the Tennessee Invitational...Posted a four-game hitting streak stretching over contests against #13 Texas, Ohio and Illinois State (two games)...Blasted her first career home run (off Blaire Luna) in the second inning of UT's 3-2 upset of #13 Texas (3/6)...Drew a free pass and scored during the 12-2 (5 inn.) triumph over Bradley (2/20)...Walked twice at the plate in the 21-2 (5 inn.) rout over Weber State (2/20)...Tallied her first hit and run for the Orange & White in the third inning of a loss to UCF (2/13) at the NTC Division I Elite Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL:

A native of Pasadena, Md., and both a 2008 ESPN/Under Armour All-American and Gatorade/RISE Magazine State Player of the Year for Maryland, Gibson led her Chesapeake H.S. team to consecutive Maryland Class 4A state titles (2007-08) while throwing no-hitters during both championship games...Was chosen as the No. 17 softball recruit in the nation in 2009 by ESPN RISE...The pitcher/infielder/outfielder was honored as the 2007 and 2008 Metro Player of the Year by The Baltimore Sun, The Washington Post and Capital-Gazette Newspapers (Md.)...She also received four straight softball All-Metro selections and Anne Arundel Coaches All-County nods (2006-09)...Following a senior campaign that saw her go 12-3 from the circle with seven shutouts, a no-hitter and a 1.39 ERA as well as hit .510 with seven homers, 18 RBIs and 13 steals, Gibson was honored as First-Team All-Metro by both The Baltimore Sun and The Washington Post...She was also chosen in 2009 as all-county by the Capital Gazette Newspapers..During her junior campaign, Gibson finished with a 17-2 record from the circle and 165 strikeouts in 120 innings of work with a 1.23 ERA, while tallying a .500 batting average, 34 runs scored, 29 RBIs and 16 stolen bases...She went 18-3 with a 0.51 ERA in the circle as a sophomore while batting .471 with 24 RBIs and 24 runs scored...As a freshman, she recorded a .553 batting average with 42 RBIs...Known for her power, Gibson broke the Team New Jersey record for homers in a single season (12)...She also led the prestigious 16-U Gold squad in batting average, runs scored and stolen bases...In the summer of 2008 Gibson led her team in home runs, including several big blasts, during the ASA Gold National Tournament...Proved her ability in the classroom at Chesapeake H.S. by carrying a 3.9 GPA while earning a spot on the Principal's Honor Roll...Gibson also played soccer and basketball at Chesapeake H.S.
