During her sparkling career at Kamehameha, Horiuchi was a key part of three-consecutive Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) championship teams (2002-2004) as well as a member of a 2002 Hawaii State Championship squad that registered a flawless 18-0 overall record...An ILH second team track standout in the 200 meters in 2004, she also reaped first-team all-state softball honors as a second baseman in 2003, 2004 and 2005...Selected first-team all-state by the Honolulu Advertiser and second-team all-state by the Honolulu Star-Bulletin following the 2005 campaign...She boasts career-bests of 17 stolen bases, 11 RBI, four homeruns, 14 runs scored and a batting average of .471...Her Amateur Softball Association (ASA) team Mililani Prep finished in first place at the Western A Nationals in Oregon in 2005.
