Was chosen as a first-team ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American and All-District IV for her efforts on the field and in the classroom...Made her presence known by hitting .414 with a .469 on-base percentage, seven RBI and 14 steals in 15 attempts in 58 total contests (22 starts) in 2007...Now owns a career batting average of .394...Hit .455 in 23 Southeastern Conference contests...Recorded a .375 mark in the NCAA Super Regionals against No. 12 Hawai'i and plated four runs, including three tallies in the opener, a 9-0 (five inn.) AS A FRESHMAN (2006):

Scored once as a pinch runner in the victories over #1 UCLA and #9 Arizona State at the WCWS...Played as a pinch runner in two of the three match-ups with No. 13 Michigan in Super Regionals...Crossed the plate in UT's 6-4 win over Tennessee Tech in her first NCAA Tournament contest...Scored twice in pinch runner duty against Ole Miss...Played in all three games against #24 Florida and scored a tally in UT's 8-0 (6) win...Plated one of Tennessee's 10 runs in the 10-0 (5) rout of ETSU (4/5)...Scored a run in UT's 8-0 (6) win over Liberty (3/23)...Served as a pinch runner in all three games against #18 Auburn...Scored three times and registered a hit in eight games played at the USF adidas Tournament in Clearwater, Fla...Scored a run against UC?Davis and saw action as a pinch runner in all three of UT's games at the Worth Invitational...Delivered the first base hit of her UT career in the fifth inning of Tennessee's 10-4 win over Coastal Carolina (2/10)...Saw action in two of the Lady Vols' three games on the opening weekend in Conway, S.C.

Hammond added to her sterling athletic resume with a Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Division II All-State nod in softball in 2004 and 2005...Was also a three-time all-state choice on the volleyball court (2002, 2003, 2004) as well as a three-time member of the Chattanooga Times Free Press "Best of Preps" listing for volleyball...A nominee for the Chattanooga Times Free Press' Female Athlete of the Year award as well as a member of the "Best of Preps" following her junior softball campaign (2004), Hammond boasts career highs on the diamond of 32 RBI, 14 stolen bases, 36 runs scored, 19 extra-base hits and a batting average of .475...Hammond played alongside fellow UT signees Sarah Vaughn and Allison Fulmer on the Chattanooga Yankettes traveling team that went a perfect 7-0 at the 2004 Colorado Fireworks Tournament.
