AS A FRESHMAN (2003): Held down the second base spot with 66 starts in her maiden season...Hit .238 overall with five runs batted in for the Weeklys and sported a .255 SEC average...Had an on-base percentage of .292 and scored 24 runs with six two-baggers...Ranked third in the league among second basemen with a .968 fielding percentage...Tied for the top performance at Ole Miss by going 4-for-6 (.667) with three runs and a double...

Went 2-for-3 in both the second and third games of the series...Turned in perhaps the finest individual defensive showing of the campaign with an unassisted double play in the fifth to snuff out a Rebel rally...Ripped a two-bagger as part of UT's five-run seventh stanza during the 12-2 shellacking of UM...Had a single in the second game at Lipscomb...Was 1-for-5 (.200) against Georgia and stole a base...Bashed a two-run double in 9-2 beating of Arkansas on April 5...Contributed one hit in six at bats versus No. 13 South Carolina...Was 2-for-4 in game two against Mississippi State...Came through with a clutch 2-for-3 outing in the second game versus Alabama and yanked her second double off the base of the left field wall...Enjoyed a great pair of games against Lipscomb, going 2-for-2 with three runs in the 11-0, 3-0 Tennessee sweep...Was 0-for-2 in her first Southeastern Conference activity versus seventh-rated LSU...Missed the first four games of the Golden Panther Invitational with a sore throat...Returned for the final game against Furman on March 2 and was 0-for-2 with six assists...Finished 1-for-3 in the second meeting with Syracuse in Las Vegas and came across with the go-ahead run in the fifth on Katherine Card's two-run single...Notched other single of the tournament versus the Orangewomen the previous day...Scored two runs during the 7-0 rout of Appalachian State during the Lady Vols' home opener at Tyson Park...Chipped in with a .333 (4-for-12) effort at the Triple Crown Invitational...Contributed a career-high two RBI in the quarterfinal triumph over Jacksonville on a sacrifice fly and a ground out...Also swiped UT's first stolen base of the year against the Dolphins...Went 2-for-4 in her opening game against the mammals...Delivered a solo homer to open the scoring during the 5-3 conquest of San Jose State...Finished 2-for-4 in that outing and scored twice...Received Jimmy Chitwood Award as the Offensive MVP of that game...Earned a walk in the first plate appearance of her collegiate career versus SJSU on Jan. 31...Later stroked a single down the left field line in the fifth frame.


HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Banks High School, where she earned four varsity letters in softball, three in soccer and one apiece in basketball and volleyball...As a freshman, Mandie was selected as the Oregon Softball Player of the Year as she led her squad to the state title with a 27-4 record...First-team all-state and all-league choice and was her club's top offensive player all four seasons on the diamond...BHS claimed its league's crown four straight times, including marks of 27-2 in 2000, 25-3 in '01 and 23-4 in '02...Honored as her conference's Most Valuable Player in both 1999 and 2002...Finished with a career batting average of .630, totaled 152 runs batted in and swiped 98 bases...Belted a career-high 10 homers in her debut season...Recognized as a Scholar-Athlete all four years of her high school tenure...Member of the Auction Committee and youth group, and helped organize a blood drive.

PERSONAL: Majoring in elementary education...Biggest inspiration is her grandmother because she motivates her to be the best she can be...Hopes to win a national championship and make it to the Olympics...Acknowledges that being involved with sports has developed her work ethic, taught self-discipline and shown her how to work well with others...
