AS A FRESHMAN (2005):

Picked up 14 victories in her freshman season while registering 159 K's in 125.1 IP...Named to the SEC All-Freshman Team...Selected as an National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athlete...Helped UT tie the school-record with the program's 55th win of the campaign by striking out four in a three-hitter in Tennessee's 3-0 win over LSU (5/7)...Fired a two-hitter with eight K's in a 3-1 win at Ole Miss (4/30)...Downed Marshall 5-1 by allowing just four hits, one run and striking out 10 in 6.2 IP... Registered her 10th win of the campaign in a 3-0 win over Tennessee Tech (4/5)...Delivered a seven-K, one-hit wipeout of South Carolina in the second game of a doubleheader, 12-0 (5 inn.)...Fired her second career no-hitter in the 19-0 (five inn.) rout of N.C. A&T at the Charleston Southern Invitational...Almost threw back-to-back no-no's but allowed a soft single between third base and shortstop in a 12-0 rout (5 IP, 12 K, 1 H) of Mercer (2/19)...Tallied her first collegiate no-hitter in a 9-0 rout (5 IP, 8 K, 2 BB) of Charleston Southern (2/18) at the GSU Invitational in Statesboro, Ga....Continued her impressive start to 2005 with a victorious six-inning effort in a 4-0 win over No. 15 Baylor in Las Vegas, Nev....The rookie allowed just three hits while striking out seven against BU to improve to 2-0...Picked up a win in her collegiate debut by allowing just two hits and a single run in 4.1 innings of work in Tennessee's 6-1 win over DePaul...She became just the fifth Lady Vol freshman to claim her collegiate debut, joining Monica Abbott, Christy Anch, Leslie Poole and Buffy Walker.

One of the most decorated hurlers in Tennessee high school history, Rhodes enjoyed a record-setting tenure at David Lipscomb High School in Nashville, Tenn...A four-time Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) all-state and all-mid-state selection, she holds the Tennessee state record for career strikeouts with 1,807... Rhodes holds several TSSAA state tournament records for strikeouts, including: 25 strikeouts in a 10-inning game, most punch outs in a single state tourney (72) and most career state tournament K's...A member of the TSSAA all-district team for four consecutive seasons, she was twice chosen as the district's Most Valuable Player...Was chosen to the Middle Tennessee Softball Coaches Association's all-mid-state team and all-star north team...During her days at David Lipscomb, she established school marks for most career K's, single-season strikeouts and career victories as well as lowest earned run average, while picking up three team MVP awards...As a junior, Rhodes was named among the listing of Who's Who in High School Sports...Led her Brentwood Blues 18U squad to the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA) State Championship in both 2003 & 2004 and guided her 18U National Softball Association (NSA) squad to the Tennessee state title in 2004...Graduated in the top 15 percent of her class and was a "Graduate of Distinction" at David Lipscomb H.S. with a 3.92 GPA...Was a member of the National Honor Society...Spent four years in the marching band and five years in concert band at DLHS, playing both the piccolo and flute.
