AS A JUNIOR (2008):
Drew 24 starts in 45 contests played for the Big Orange during the 2008 campaign, with 23 of those coming in either left or right field...Hit .213 in 75 plate appearances with five runs scored, a pair of doubles, a three-bagger and 11 RBIs...Delivered just her second career triple in a 7-0 rout of ETSU on April 2...Posted a 2-for-3 day at the plate with a RBI in a 14-0 (5 inn.) whitewashing of Wagner (2/23) and knocked in a pair of runs in wins over ETSU and #14 Georgia (9-0 in six inn. on 4/5)...Started from the mound against Florida A&M (2/18) and recorded 10 total appearances in the circle for the Lady Vols while posting a 2.90 ERA and striking out 11 hitters in 19.1 frames of work...In her lone start versus the Rattlers, Pieroni worked 3.1 innings, allowing just a single hit while punching out a pair as UT emerged victorious by a 5-1 count...Saw her most single-game pitching action in a 4-2 loss to #2 Florida (5/3), permitting one earned run on five hits during 5.0 innings of relief...Tabbed to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athlete Team as well as to the Southeastern Conference Spring Honor Roll for her efforts in the classroom.

A member of three consecutive Tennessee state championship teams in 2003, 2004 and 2005 that posted a combined 130-15 overall mark, Pieroni enjoyed a fine career as a pitcher at Nashville's (Tenn.) Goodpasture Christian School... She recorded more than 1,000 career strikeouts from the circle and never tasted defeat as a high school hurler...Served as a captain for Goodpasture's 2005 state championship season...Twice chosen as the Gatorade State Player of the Year in Tennessee and as a two-time choice as the Mid-State Player of the Year...
