Player Headshot Looking Ahead...
#15 Melissa Davin
2011-pres | OF/IF | 5-10 | R/R | Fresno, Calif.

Melissa Davin is one of three seniors returning for the Lady Vols in 2014. She made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2011, appearing in 43 games with 31 starts and hitting .306 with three homers and 17 RBIs. Her first career hit was a three-run homer against ETSU on Feb. 15, 2011. Davin enjoyed a breakout season in 2012, blasting eight homers and driving in 29 runs en route to earning Second-Team All-SEC honors. She had three multi-home run games that year, including two-homer showings against South Carolina and Ole Miss. Last year, Davin hit .294 with five homers, five doubles, three triples, 24 RBIs, 30 runs and 10 stolen bases. She courageously battled back from a late-season injury to play in the Women's College World Series. In Game 1 of the Championship series, Davin had a single off Oklahoma ace Keilani Ricketts, reached on an error, reached on a fielder's choice and stole a base. Davin enters the 2014 season with a .293 career batting average, 98 hits, 16 homers, nine doubles, five triples, 70 RBIs, 66 runs and 18 stolen bases.
