The last times the teams played, UT took two games in a doubleheader on March 25, 2008. In the first game, an 8-0, five-inning Tennessee win, Tiffany Huff hit a three-run homer and Ashton Ward fanned six in the shutout. The Lady Vols won the second game, 4-1, as Lillian Hammond knocked a two-run jack to center and Megan Rhodes struck out 12 batters over 6.2 innings.
