KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - With weather issues having dropped the No. 9 Tennessee Lady Vol softball squad (17-5) well under the standard 56-game regular season limit, the Big Orange has added a pair of doubleheaders to its 2012 home schedule.
UT is now slated to host Furman at Lee Softball Stadium on Tues., March 27, in a doubleheader at 5 and 7 p.m. ET, while Tennessee State will venture to Knoxville for a pair of contests at 5 and 7 p.m. ET on Wed., April 25.
Tickets for these added match-ups will be made available to season ticket holders at no additional cost.
As for now it's time for the Lady Vol softball team to head back out on the road for the better part of the next two weeks. Tennessee travels to Arkansas for a three-game set over March 16-18, before taking its "Spring Break" jaunt through Tuscaloosa, Ala., to battle #1 Alabama (March 21 - DH) and straight to Starkville, Miss., to face Mississippi State (March 23-25).
