KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - By virtue of #6 Florida losing its series at #3 Alabama over the weekend, the fifth-ranked Tennessee Lady Vol softball team (45-9, 22-6 Southeastern Conference) has secured the program's fourth SEC Eastern Division Championship and will open the annual SEC Tournament as the No. 2 seed, facing off against No. 7 seed Auburn live on ESPNU on Thurs., May 10, at 2:30 p.m. ET at Rhoades Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

"It's always good to come out on top in a division as tough as the SEC East," Lady Vol Co-Head Coach Ralph Weekly said. "It was truly a battle for all the teams in contention right to the very end of the regular season. As far as our seeding in the SEC Tournament goes, anyone we draw will present a tremendous challenge. We are extremely happy to be headed to Tuscaloosa, Ala., as the #2 seed and look forward to competing alongside the league's top eight teams in the Southeastern Conference Tournament."

Tickets for the SEC Tournament remain available only in the general admission section of the right field brickyard berm at Rhoades Stadium for the price of $25 for an all-session pass. For more detailed seating/ticketing information, please contact the Alabama Ticket Office at (205) 348-2262 or visit RollTide.com.

The Big Orange will be making its 10th consecutive visit to the league's annual showcase event and its 13th trip all-time. UT holds a 20-16 overall record in the SEC Tournament and owns two tourney titles, winning versus #12 LSU in Athens, Ga., by a 3-0 count back in 2006 and triumphing last season with a 6-5 (8 inn.) victory over #8 Georgia in Oxford, Miss.
