INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The No. 15 Tennessee Lady Vol softball team (45-13) is prepping to venture to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the NCAA Super Regionals where the squad will face a best-of-three series against No. 2 Michigan (49-6) for the right to advance on to the annual Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla.
The event will kick-off on Thursday, May 27, at 7:30 p.m. ET live on ESPN from the Wilpon Softball Complex, while Friday's action is slated for an ESPNU broadcast live at 4:30 p.m. ET and (if necessary) at 7 p.m. ET.
This is the Tennessee program's fourth trip to the NCAA Super Regionals after previously advancing to the best-of-three round in 2005, 2006 & 2007. UT holds a 6-2 all-time mark in the Super Regionals and are now 35-16 overall in NCAA Tournament action after sweeping through the Knoxville Regional over May 21-23 with wins over Ball State (5-0), Virginia (11-2) and Louisville (3-1, 9 inn.).
