SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico --The USA Softball Women's National Team continues to roll past its opponents in the Pan American Games Qualifer. On Wednesday, Team USA defeated Argentina, 7-0, at Donna Terry Field.

Team USA will conclude pool play on Thursday against the U.S. Virgin Islands at 4:30 p.m. ET. The Stars and Stripes are 5-0 in pool play and have outscored their opponents, 51-1.

Tennessee's Raven Chavanne and Lauren Gibson recorded hits in the win. Chavanne was 2-for-3 with one RBI double and one run. Gibson was 1-for-3.

Jessica Moore earned the win after tossing five shutout innings of two-hit ball and striking out four.

Virginia Sciuto took the loss for Argentina after issuing three earned runs over 3.2 frames. Lia Echeveste gave up three earned runs in two thirds of an inning. Tamara Togni recorded one out and gave up one earned run.

Team USA jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Michelle Moultrie drew a leadoff walk and Chavanne and Gibson followed with back-to-back singles to load the bases. Moultrie and Chavanne would score on a pair of illegal pitches.

With two outs in the fourth, Chavanne clubbed an RBI double to plate Moultrie from second base and push the U.S. lead to 3-0.

In the bottom of the fifth, Lauren Chamberlain clubbed a two-run homer to center field with one out to push the Americans' advantage to 5-0. Two batters later, Lindsey Ziegenhirt drove in Taylor Hoagland with a sac fly to left field. Taylor Thom scored the final run to end the game in five innings by international run rule.
