2013 Fall Schedule

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee softball team has released its 2013 fall exhibition schedule, which features eight home exhibition games in October and an exciting Alumni Game on Nov. 8.

All fall games will be played at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium and admission is free.

Fans can get their first look at the 2014 team on Oct. 6 when Tennessee hosts Lee University at 6 p.m.

From Oct. 11-13, UT hosts Tennessee Tech, Bethel, Chipola State, Milligan, Volunteer State and Virginia Intermont in the Tennessee Fall Classic. The Lady Vols play Tennessee Tech and Bethel in a doubleheader on Oct. 11 starting at 6 p.m. UT two more games on Oct. 12 when it plays Chipola State at 12:30 and Milligan at 3 p.m. Tennessee finishes up its fall tournament on Oct. 13 with back-to-back games against Volunteer State at 3 p.m. and Virginia Intermont at 5:30 p.m.

On Oct. 20, UT hosts Tusculum at 3 p.m.

On Nov. 8, Tennessee will take on several UT legends in the annual Alumni Game. The alumni team will feature several players from Tennessee's Women's College World Series runs, including Raven Chavanne, Lauren Gibson, Kat Dotson, Ivy Renfroe, Melissa Brown, Tiffany Huff, Ashley Andrews, Shelby Burchell and Sarah Fekete Bailey.

Tennessee completed the 2013 season as the No. 2 team in the nation as the national runner-up with a 52-12 overall record. The Big Orange made its sixth Women's College World Series appearance in the last nine years and appeared in the Championship Series for the second time in program history. The squad featured three NFCA Division I All-America first-team selections in Raven Chavanne, Lauren Gibson and Madison Shipman, and three Capital One Academic All-Americans in Chavanne, Shipman and Ellen Renfroe. Chavanne was named the Capital One Academic All-American of the Year and was a Top 3 finalist for the USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year and a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award. Gibson was a Top 10 finalist for the USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the year and was named the SEC Player of the Year.
