KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -The Tennessee softball team was out at World's Fair Park on Saturday for the 16th annual Susan G. Komen Knoxville Race for the Cure, cheering on over 10,000 participants and breast cancer survivors at the finish line.
Just as fans cheer them on in the spring from the stands at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium, the Lady Vols got their chance to return the favor Saturday morning. The UT softball players helped form the line that designated the different lanes for regular participants and breast cancer survivors and offered high-fives and words of encouragement to those approaching the finish of the 5K race.
With thousands of people braving the cool morning and the rain, it was a truly inspirational and moving morning out at World's Fair Park. Check out the video of the Tennessee softball team at the 2012 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!
