KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee softball program will host Karen Weekly's Slap and Speed Clinic on Jan. 5 at the Neyland-Thompson Sports Center.
The clinic is open to girls between the ages 8-18, from beginners to advanced players. The cost is $125 per camper. It will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This clinic will teach young players the slap and speed skills and strategies utilized by the Tennessee softball program. Co-head coach Karen Weekly has developed and mentored four All-American collegiate slappers in the last seven years. Each UT four-year slapper has been drafted by the professional league or played with the U.S. National Team.
In addition to co-head coach Karen Weekly and the Tennessee softball staff, former Lady Vol All-Americans Lindsay Schutzler Bell and Sarah Fekete Bailey will lend their expertise as clinic instructors.
