KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Members of the Tennessee Lady Vol swimming and diving team will leave Palo Alto, Calif., on a high note as the 4x100 medley relay finished runner-up on Saturday evening to conclude the 2011 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships at Stanford University's Avery Aquatic Center.
The 4x100 medley relay squad of rising senior Jenny Connolly, freshman Molly Hannis, rising junior Kelsey Floyd and rising sophomore Lindsay Gendron touched in 4:04.49. The quartet nearly missed claiming the top spot in the event, finishing .24 seconds behind first place.
Gendron was also Tennessee's lone representative in the 100 freestyle, notching 39th after swimming a time of56.71 seconds.
Rising senior Kirstyn Colonias registered a 32nd-place time of 2:34.39 in the 200 breast. Her time was just .28 seconds off of qualifying for the event's `C' final. Hannis also competed in the event and touched in at 2:36.80.
