KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - A pair of Tennessee swimmers will be in action this upcoming week representing their home countries, as Lady Vols Jenny Connolly and Martina Moravcikova are set to compete at the 2011 World University Games taking place over Aug. 14-19 in Shenzhen, China.

Connolly will begin on Wednesday in the 100 back. She is also listed in the 50 back, which will take place Thursday.

Moravcikova will compete in breast events, with the 200 breast taking place Tuesday. The 50m competition will be held Wednesday and the 100 breast prelims are Friday.

Connolly, who has been dominate in back events at UT, recently finished third in the long course 100 back at the 2011 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships in Palo Alto, Calif. She also swam the lead leg of the 4x100 medley relay that captured second at nationals, with her split time of 1:01.30 being the fastest in the event.

A native of West Lafayette, Ind., Connolly is the Lady Vol record holder in the 100y back, the reigning SEC Champion in the event and earned First Team All-American accolades in the 100y back at the 2011 NCAA Championships by placing sixth.

Moravcikova, who exhausted her eligibility at the NCAA Championships in March, became an All-American in four events, including earning First-Team honors as a member of the fourth-place 400y medley relay team.

The Prague, Czech Republic, native is also the UT record holder in the 200y breast and set a new Czech Republic long course record in the 100 breast in June.
