Finished her first fall season at Rocky Top with a 3-3 singles record...Did not compete in doubles...Beat Furman's Brooke Mosteller, 6-4, 6-3, at the Furman Fall Classic after capturing the flight eight consolation finals at the SEC Coaches Tournament.

FRESHMAN (2008-09):

Combined forces with Maria Sorbello to win the doubles portion of the UNC Greensboro ITA Summer Circuit Tournament...Paired with Samantha Orlin for two matches during the season in doubles...Went 0-1 in singles...Did not compete for Tennessee in the fall...Joined the program in January 2009.


Ranked as high as No. 88 in her home country of Australia...Reached at least the quarterfinals of singles play in seven different tournaments in 2008, while winning doubles titles in five, including the Chinchilla Open, North Queensland Open, Noosa Open, Queensland Open and Caloundra AMT...Advanced to both the singles and doubles finals at the Queensland State Championships in 2003, 2005 and 2007, winning the under-12 doubles title in 2003 and the under-14 doubles championship in 2005...Participated on the 2006 Pizzey Cup Australian Secondary School Team...Reached the singles semifinals of the Australian Hardcourt and Winter National Championships in 2005 and the quarterfinals of the same competitions in 2006...Trained under former tennis professionals Charlie and Daphne Fancutt and alongside current teammate Maria Sorbello and UT men's tennis player John-Patrick Smith for most of her junior career...Graduated from Brisbane Girls' Grammar School, where she also participated in cross country, softball, swimming and choir...Was the school's tennis champion for five straight years, from 2004-08.


Plans to major in psychology...Enjoys listening to music, cooking and op-shopping (buying second-hand items)...Names former coach Daphne Fancutt as her biggest influence because she taught her to value every opportunity that comes with sport...Lists Lance Armstrong as the person she admires the most...Chose Tennessee over Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount and Texas A&M...Has a brother, Harry, 16, and a sister, Jacqueline, 14...Kathryn (Katie) Alice Lee, daughter of John and Julie Lee, was born April 2, 1991, in Brisbane, Australia.
